Meet Mark Caron
Founder & Owner, Pine Tree Home Watch
Mark Caron founded Pine Tree Home Watch with one clear mission: to help homeowners in Maine feel confident that their property is protected—even when they’re not around.
Born and raised in the Portland area, Mark brings a rare mix of military precision, technical know-how, and neighborly care to the homes he looks after. He spent 21 years in the United States Marine Corps, followed by a leadership career in the steam, hot water, and HVAC industries. That background shows up in his approach: methodical, reliable, and focused on doing the job right the first time.
In 2023, Mark saw a growing need in the Sebago Lakes Region—vacation and seasonal homes sitting empty through harsh Maine winters, with no one around to catch problems before they became disasters. That’s when Pine Tree Home Watch was born.
Today, Mark leads every aspect of the business with a personal touch. He conducts or oversees every inspection, maintains a network of trusted local service providers, and takes pride in delivering the kind of detailed, no-corners-cut service that earns trust over time.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Regents College and believes that good service starts with good communication. Clients aren’t just getting a checklist—they’re getting a partner who treats their home like his own.
Pine Tree Home Watch is proud to be a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, and a portion of every home inspection is donated to veteran service organizations like K9’s for Warriors.
Mark lives in Windham, Maine with his wife Brenda and their Shih Tzu, Chuy. They have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Outside of work, you’ll find him paddleboarding on Maine’s lakes and coastline, hiking local trails, or trying out new restaurants across Southern Maine.
